Durable and Tolerant to Extreme Conditions

With its unique proprietary material, FerroCep® membrane can function in extensive and extreme operating parameters such as high temperature, high pressure and extreme pH values. This allows FerroCep® membrane to have a wider range of applications for different industries.

FerroCep® membrane consists of multiple porous Type 316L stainless steel tubes acting as substrate. Using a patented process, the inner surface of the tube is coated with a titanium dioxide (TiO2) and permanently bonded onto the substrate. This enables FerroCep® membrane to operate at operation temperatures of up to 315°C and pressures of 10.3 bar.

Non-magnetic and extra low in carbon composition, the austenitic feature of the tube makes FerroCep® membrane chemically resistant, allowing it to handle extreme pH values. With high mechanical and chemical tolerance, FerroCep® membrane is highly durable with an average service life of 10 years or more.

Tubular, Wide Channel Configuration

With a tubular configuration, FerroCep® membrane is designed to have about 18mm of inner diameter which is significantly larger than typical inorganic tubular membranes. This allows industrial streams with extreme viscosity and high solid contents to pass through the membrane smoothly with no channel blockage. Not only does this benefit cleaning cycles, operating costs and membrane lifespan, it also minimises pre-filtration requirement which only requires screen filters to remove hard solid particles.

Cross-flow filtration configuration adds value to FerroCep® membrane’s wide channel, allowing the membrane to perform at lower water pressures, resulting in overall energy savings.

Leakage-free, Welded Seal Connection

Standard connection for membranes requires O-ring to enhance seal to prevent leakage. However, FerroCep® membrane tubes are welded together with stainless steel housing for leakage-free connection. Customisation of longer stainless steel membrane tubes of 1.5, 3 and 6 metres are also available for scalability, allowing effective space configuration of filtration area.
